Katrin Laas-Mikko coordinated this year’s research project of The Estonian Institute of Human Rights. She works at the Estonian Certification Centre, leading its quality-control unit, and is doing her doctorate at Tartu University. Her thesis is connected to moral aspects in the context of new technologies and the risks associated with them. She has participated in many projects of The European Union that have been related to technologies of identity and privacy (RISE, TECHNOLIFE, FIDELITY, etc.) through the Centre of Ethics at the University of Tartu and The Institute of Baltic Studies.
