20th anniversary conference of the Estonian Institute of Human Rights “New Challenges of Human Rights” takes place in Tallinn on 10th of December.

Our conference will examine human rights where the internet and the concept of security have altered dramatically our 20th century understanding of the core issues of human rights. Since rights and freedoms can exist only in combination with obligations, we will examine rights, freedoms, and obligations as a whole.

At the same time, human rights issues, which have been topical in previous decades, have not disappeared. However, their treatment through the prism of change is essential in order to ensure the effective protection of human rights in a rapidly changing world.

Working languages are English and Estonian (simultaneous translation).
Attendance is by invitation only.
